Heartfelt Stitch Along - Make a Wish Foundation 2022

*Click on the blog pictures for further information #HeartFeltSAL Every year I wonder which pattern The Fat Quarter Shop will come up with for their Annual Make a Wish Foundation Stitch Along. It is inspired by their Annual 2022 Charity Quilt. The charts are free however, FQS requests a donation to the Charity. After all, the chart is design to help raise money to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Heartfelt Cross Stitch Chart and Quilt benefit Make-a-Wish Central & South Texas I have participated in previous editions: Bloomtopia in 2020 and Serendipity in 2021. I have truly enjoyed stitching them. Bloomtopia & Serendipity T his year the design has such a romantic feeling with it's pastels colors that could perfectly be used during Valentine's Day, Spring and in my case year round. Previous years, I made minimal changes from the original design however, this year I am not sure if I will.

Annual Flea Market Baskets Annual Stitch - Along 2022

I am so glad some quilt patterns are converted into cross stitch. Flea Market Basket not only is a beauty to quilt but also to stitch. It is the new Stitch Along design by Lori Holt from Bee in my Bonnet and presented by The Fat Quarter Shop. The great news is that it is a yearly Stitch Along which is a fantastic option because this pattern is 183 x 183. It is not a small task to achieve however, by stitching it during the year a portion at a time, it is very achievable without being overwhelming My color and brad name thread choices are a mixture of DMC (Cotton) and NPI (silk) in grey, pink and metallic in 16 count Antique White Aida from Zweigart. I will be posting the colors as I stitch along. J'Adore my Lucky Charm (Free Cross Stitch Pattern by the Fat Quarter Shop)

Happy Stitching , Who is in for a freebie? I am, especially if it is as cute as this one. The Fat Quarter Shop has published a new pattern for free to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The pattern can be found here : ☘ Lucky Charm Pattern ☘ I found the combination of the colors so luxurious, the simplicity and elegance of the pattern so attractive that I couldn't resist. I abandoned the other projects, and concentrated my efforts on this one during the week-end. It took me approximately 12-15hrs to stich (keep in mind that I am a slow stitcher). The chart is very easy to follow. I made a couple of changes to the design: I wanted to give it a vintage look so I substituted some of the DMC metallic stitches (E3821) for yellow (3822). I also added a tiny black button to the middle of the clover as a finishing touch. I used 14 count white Aida Zweigart , which gave me a finished size of 8.4w x 8.74 h (including the 3” border).
