J'Adore my Lucky Charm (Free Cross Stitch Pattern by the Fat Quarter Shop)

Who is in for a freebie? I am, especially if it is as cute as this one.  The Fat Quarter Shop has published a new pattern for free to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

I found the combination of the colors so luxurious, the simplicity and elegance of the pattern so attractive that I couldn't resist. I abandoned the other projects, and concentrated my efforts on this one during the week-end. 

It took me approximately 12-15hrs to stich (keep in mind that I am a slow stitcher).  The chart is very easy to follow. 

I made a couple of changes to the design: 

1. I wanted to give it a vintage look so I substituted some of the DMC metallic stitches (E3821) for yellow (3822). 
2. I also added a tiny black button to the middle of the clover as a finishing touch. 

I used 14 count white Aida Zweigart , which gave me a finished size of 8.4w x 8.74 h (including the 3” border).

I finished the project using pastel purple with white polka dot fabric and antique gold ribbon to give it regal look as well as to add luxury to the piece.
